Types of Houses in Nevada

1. Condos Style Homes of Nevada

Nevada is a metropolitan state with a large population. Nevada has been planning more and more condos in its locality lately to accommodate the exponentially increasing population.

Condos are high-rise traditional home-style apartments. Although they are sophisticated apartments, there are many contrasting features in both of them.

The condominium is a collection of individual apartment-style houses. But they can be personalized, unlike apartments. They can have large balconies, swimming pools, staircases, and even two or more stories.

The walls, floors, and exteriors are mostly simple and plain, aligning with the minimalist lifestyles of modern-era people.

2. Loft-style houses

Loft-style houses are recherche because these are old industrial buildings transformed into apartment-style small cute houses.

Loft style dwellings are akin to apartments or mid-century modern style residential homes. They can have one or more stories with flat roofs but slanted walls on one side.

Bricks, concrete, and glass are the most common construction materials in Loft style homes.

Loft homes mostly have open plans with open areas. They do not have internal walls. Hence, the entire interior looks copious and stupendous.

Roofs and staircases are often built with wood. The exteriors are plain, simple, and facile.

3. Townhouse Homes of Nevada

Nevada residents yearn for Townhouse dwellings because they blend into Nevada’s sandy and semi-arid landscape.

As a matter of fact, townhouses are so prevalent in each street. Townhouse style houses are square and rectangular with triangular and low-steeped roofs with overhanging eaves.

Turrets and dormers with windows are one common feature of townhouse buildings.

Townhouse buildings in Nevada use earthy tones in their exterior paints to accentuate and enhance the surface beauty of the outermore.

Townhouse homes are one or more stories with a narrow and small staircase leading upto the front door entrance with plain wooden railings.

Covered narrow front porches aggrandize the cute front look of the houses. They have spacious exteriors, and the exterior surfaces of Townhouse style residences often lay emphasize on the textures more than intricate designs.

4. Patio Style Houses in Nevada

Patio homes are small houses with limited space. They do not have exteriors but an ample backyard with an attached garage. They can be one-storied height but not more than that. These dwellings can accommodate singles or small nuclear families.

Typical patio residences have one kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms.

Triangular roofs with small glassed windows are a couple of defining architectural features of Patio homes.

Patio homes are voguish in suburban regions like Nevada. Patio neighborhoods are attached, but they have their entrances.

5. Ranch Style

Ranch style housing is one of the most sought-after real estate in Nevada. Although Nevada is fettered with a sandy landscape, ranch-style houses held their strong ground in this region.

Ranch-style houses do not have one or more architectural elements; it is an inspiration in themselves.

Ranch-style dwellings are often built in an isolated setting in an overly expansive area.

These residences are restricted to the ground floor, but the interiors are pretty colossal. They have low-pitched roofs with large and equidistantly placed windows.

6. Pueblo Type of Houses

Pueblo is a home-grown architectural style in Nevada. If you find their solace in simplicity, Pueblo is your right call.

These tall structures are angular, sleek, and large. Therefore, they can facilitate one or two large families.

These simple residential structures are constructed using concrete, stucco, or wood. The exteriors or Pueblo residences are designed to retaliate and stay resilient to any kind of weather. However, the interiors are relatively cool.

Pueblo homes are a blend of textures and other architectural elements.

For example, Pueblo architecture employs heavy doors, railings, and textured surfaces to complement simple flat surfaces.

Ceiling beams and common areas intricately designed are other off-setting features. The roofs are flat but slanting at the edges.

7. Mediterranean Kind of Houses

It is astonishing to find Nevada gleaming with Southern European architecture.

The Mediterranean residential system is a mix of Spanish and Mediterranean architecture. It carried centuries of ancient history throughout its lifespan and was carefully embedded into the contemporary lifestyle without fail.

Redbrick walls, low gabled roofs, terracotta tiles, stucco walls, and arch motifs are sterling features of the Mediterranean housing system.

Wrought iron, bricks, and concrete are common construction materials used. These houses can extend upto one or more floors.

8. Spanish Type of Homes in Nevada

Spanish architecture on the streets of Nevada takes you on a European trip, but you will feel out of place for obvious reasons.

Spanish residential system in Nevada finds remnants of Moorish and Mediterranean architecture. These homes are pretty efficient, functional, comfortable, and relaxed.

While the exterior walls deploy Stucco material, the interior roofs are entirely tiled.

Wrought iron balconies and tall towers add a romantic vibe to these homes.

9. Split level Nevada Houses

Nevada is a palate of the Split level housing system. This 1950s house style seems like a spin-off of ranch style homes.

Trailing floor plans, eat-in kitchens, and cozy living rooms define the interiors of split level style homes. They are mostly one or one and a half story height homes in Nevada.

Nuclear or mid-sized families find this architectural style fascinating.

10. Tudor Style Houses

A yet another European remnant on the sands of Nevada is the Tudor architecture.

Nevada’s streets are beautiful, vibrant, and diverse with different architectural styles, and Tudor complements the mix and match architectural culture with its cute looks.

Tudor homes are small and narrow, despite being one or two stories tall. Hence, small or nuclear families will find them purposeful and practical.

Tudor residences make vibrant colours their primary architectural element and that, for obvious reasons, works in the owner’s favour. They have beautifully designed boundary walls with a kind-sized gate.

Tudor houses are usually positioned at an elevated height. So, a small and narrow staircase leads upto the front door walkway to the staircase.

There is also a narrow walkway to the staircase, there’ll be a charming front yard cum garden on both sides. These houses are generally L or H shaped with stone and timber used as design materials and concrete, brick, or wood as construction materials.

11. Tuscan Style Homes

Tuscan brings an Italian vibe to Nevada. Stunningly adorable stucco walls on the exterior.

Stone accents capacitate the beauty that Tuscan architecture is. It gives a rustic feeling with red color stucco exteriors and simple windows without much hassle. They can be one or more stories with spacious interiors and spacious exteriors.

Flat and slightly curved roofs distinguish Tuscan architecture, while the door and window gaps are also curved.

Nevada[NV] Information:

Nevada is an American state located in the Western, Southwestern regions of the United States. The state is stated is 7th largest state among all 50 states of USA in terms of area.

The bordering states of Nevada include Utah towards the East, California towards the West, Idaho towards the Northeast, Arizona towards the Southeast and Oregon towards the Northwest.

The state is authentically known as “Silver State” because of discovery and abundant quantity of silver in the state. The state is famous for its rugged and harsh terrain, entertainment, casinos, gambling, mall, and restaurants. Most of these activities are found in the city of Las Vegas.

The area of modern Nevada was discovered by Spanish explorer Francisco Graces and was the first European to set foot in the region. Afterward, the region was annexed by the Spanish Empire as a part of New Spain.

Also, modern Mexico and most of the parts of Central America were under Spanish occupation at that time.

After the Mexican Civil War in 1821, Spanish were forced out and the region of modern Nevada became a Mexican province. Later, when the American-Mexican War broke out, Mexicans were defeated and most of the North Mexicans regions including Nevada, California, and Arizona were ceded to the United States.

At that time the region was not granted statehood and was a territory known as “Utah territory”, which later separated and became Nevada territory. Nevada was granted statehood in 1864 and became the 36th state of America (Union).

After the discovery of Gold and Silver, the state attracted thousands of labor and miners from different regions and which also led to population increase.

Gambling is active in the state since the start of 20th century, when only small mining towns were present in the state. In 1951, the famous “Nevada Test Site” was founded in the state for the sole purpose of Nuclear testing, hundreds of nuclear tests were carried out at the site, whereby the last test was conducted in September 1992.

The geographical features of Nevada are diverse and interesting. Also, the state is ranked 2nd in terms of most mountain ranges, having behind only Alaska. Some of the common mountain ranges include Monitor, Ruby, Santa Rosa, Schell Creek, Sierra Nevada.

Most of the region of Nevada is covered by the “Great Basin” which includes deserts, mountains, dry lakes, and sinks. The temperature of the state varies, with extremely hot summers and mild to cold winters. During the Pacific storms, high mountains often receive snowfall.

The economy of Nevada is dependent mostly on tourism, aided by mining and cattle. Tourism activities include casinos, gambling, entertainment, skiing, reserved parks, recreational centers, and outdoor activities.

Whenever we hear about Nevada, “Las Vegas” comes to our mind due to its unique, buildings, bars, nightlife and casinos. In the early times, the activities in the states were started after the discovery of minerals (gold, silver, etc.) Still today, mining contributes significant share towards the economy and Nevada is the fourth-largest producer of Gold in the world.

Other minerals include silver, copper, gypsum, diatomite, and lithium. Agriculture is limited in the state due to very less amount of arable land. Some of the agriculture products include cattle, hay, alfalfa, dairy products, onions, and potatoes.

The inhabitants of modern Nevada are the decedents of the following: Mexicans, German, Irish, English, American, Italian and Scandinavian. Today, the population is composed of the following racial groups: White American, Black American, Asian, Multiracial American, American Indian and Native Hawaiian.

Although Christianity is the dominant religion of the state, Nevada is termed as one of the least religious states as the church attendance by the inhabitants is very low. Minority religions include Hinduism, Islam, Jews, Buddhist, and Mormon.

He is very detailed oriented person and never compromises with his work. I am typically not interested to deliver the reviews. But after working with Mr. Suresh I decided to share my experience. Mr. Suresh has great expertise in providing vastu consultation to USA property. He is always available through email and phone l to answer questions. I am writing this review hoping it will help other people like me who lives in abroad. Please take advise before buying the house. I really appreciate Mr. Suresh's help in evaluating our house - Padma - Boston - USA

"I contacted Sureshji to consult on our current home. He was spot on in identifying vastu dosha in regards to the problems we were having. He suggested remedies but we are still looking for a new house. Since then I have been in touch with him for finding a right home for us. He is very sincere and truly wishes better lives for everyone. He doesn’t compromise with quality and is always responsive to queries. He recommends solutions as per location as Vastu rules differ for each country. He is greatly contributing to the society with his knowledge of Vastu and dedication towards his work. Keep up the good work Sureshji and wish you success and happiness!" - Megha - Virginia - USA

I have consulted Suresh Garu during December 2014 during the process of buying a house in Texas, USA. I have occupied the house for one year now, and feel like dropping a review regarding my experience during the entire process. I am very much satisfied with the kind of service I received from him. He is very knowledgeable and I was often stunned by his detailed analysis during the course of my interaction with him. He was very much accessible over phone (perhaps more than 10 times for one house plan!) and the price is very much reasonable especially compared with the cost of the house. I noticed his burning desire to help me in making informed decisions on certain things. I have seen some people pretending to know this subject and misguiding those who come for help by saying only what we want to hear. SubhaVaastu is definitely not that one. Finally, I am strong believer of leaving certain things to experts in those subjects. I have been in US for more than 13 years and have seen people doing their own corrections (by reading website articles) trying to save few dollars. Please don’t do that. You would end up in causing more damage. I highly recommend you to engage SubhaVaastu in your next project - Satish - Dallas - TX - USA

Wife: You've been saying for a week that you want a change in the cooking, a change!".

Vastu Tip of the Day

The main entrance is considered the "mouth of a body" where energy enters your home. According to Vastu, having a bright and welcoming entrance attracts good fortune, health, and prosperity. You can enhance this area by placing a beautiful nameplate, using bright lights, and incorporating green plants near the entrance. This not only makes the entrance more appealing but also supports the flow of positive energy into your home. The front door should be free from dust. If you notice any dust on it, please clean it right away. This entrance is like a welcoming door for Goddess Lakshmi. For More Daily Vastu Tips : Daily Vastu Tips
