Turkmenistan is a sovereign country located in the strategic locality of Central Asia. The country is home to one of the oldest ruins, monuments and archeological sites.
Most of the terrain of the country is covered by deserts and has abundant oil and gas resources. The country remained a Soviet state until 1990, and afterward, it became an independent country when the Soviet Union broke.
Turkmenistan is a land of one of the oldest human settlements and history. Archeologists have found tools and evidence that date back to stone and bronze age and from this, we can estimate how old this region is. Alexander the Great passed and conquered the region on its way towards South Asia.
Muslim people and armies began to arrive in the 7th and 8th centuries and the region became part of Muslim Caliphate. After the arrival of Muslims, the total outlook of the region changed as Muslims built several mosques and architectural wonders.
By the mid-12th century, Mongol armies under the leadership of “Genghis Khan” occupied the region. After the Mongol influence decreased, the region was ruled by a local empire of tribes, until again in the 19th century, it was occupied by the Russian empire.
Subsequently, after the fall of the Russian empire the region than came under the rule of the Soviet Union which lasted till 1990. Although the Soviet Union made some economic efforts (for its own purposes) in its satellite states, Turkmenistan was largely neglected.
The country covers a significant amount of land in Central Asia and is ranked as 52nd largest in the world. Majority of its areas are covered by the desert. Deforestation is in full swing and will create further environmental issues.
Bordering countries of Turkmenistan include Uzbekistan towards the North-east, Iran, and Afghanistan towards the South and Kazakhstan towards the West. The Caspian Sea lies towards its west.
As described earlier, Turkmenistan has one of the largest (6th largest) Oil and Gas reserves in the world and majority of its economy is dependent on it.
Agriculture is done limited in the country due to a vast number of deserts but still plays a significant role in the country’s economy. “Cotton” is one of its chief agricultural product and is exported to several countries. Although, the country faced numerous setbacks after independence, today it has one of the fastest growing economies in the world.
Islam is the largest religion in the country followed by the Christianity accounting for 89% and 10% respectively. Turkmen is the official language of the country while several other languages are also spoken including Russian, Tatar, Uzbek, and Azerbaijani. Ethnic “Turkmen” people are the largest ethnic group in the country. While minority groups include Armenians, Ukrainians, Kazakhs, and Tatars.

Hello Sir, My name is Bharathi. Me and my husband have been reading your articles closely. We really appreciate the effort put by you to share your knowledge about vastu and it’s effects - Bharathi - USA.
I have consulted Suresh Garu during December 2014 during the process of buying a house in Texas, USA. I have occupied the house for one year now, and feel like dropping a review regarding my experience during the entire process. I am very much satisfied with the kind of service I received from him. He is very knowledgeable and I was often stunned by his detailed analysis during the course of my interaction with him. He was very much accessible over phone (perhaps more than 10 times for one house plan!) and the price is very much reasonable especially compared with the cost of the house. I noticed his burning desire to help me in making informed decisions on certain things. I have seen some people pretending to know this subject and misguiding those who come for help by saying only what we want to hear. SubhaVaastu is definitely not that one. Finally, I am strong believer of leaving certain things to experts in those subjects. I have been in US for more than 13 years and have seen people doing their own corrections (by reading website articles) trying to save few dollars. Please don’t do that. You would end up in causing more damage. I highly recommend you to engage SubhaVaastu in your next project - Satish - Dallas - TX - USA

Joke Of the Day
A man was complaining to a railroad engineer.
What's the use of having a train schedule if the trains are always late.
The railroad engineer replied.
How would we know they were late, if we didn't have a schedule?
